Get Ready… Get Set… Go!
From Evaluation to Action - Moving RFID Projects Beyond the Pilot Phase
RFID products continue evolving, offering an increasing variety of technologies and capabilities for automated data capture, but companies are looking for a place to start - an entry point for their organizations to begin leveraging RFID solutions today.
Zander Livingston, RFID Technology Director for American Apparel, will present an Implementation Case Study focused on how his company —a vertically-integrated manufacturer, distributor and retailer of cutting-edge specialty apparel — chose to stop evaluating RFID and start using it across their operations to better manage inventory, increase visibility, enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.

Joe White, VP of RFID Business Development for Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility Business, will join Zander to provide his perspective on the RFID marketplace. As companies move into the implementation phase, RFI D is increasingly becoming part of an integrated solution set in which bar code, wireless, and mobile computing technologies play key roles. Joe will discuss the real-world customer value that RFID products are generating today across a variety of industries, as well as the added value that can be unlocked as the technology continues to converge across the data capture, mobility and communication arenas.

Speaker: Duncan Mackey, CEO, Corvanraay Farms.
A Case Study of an RFID Implementation to Secure the Food Supply
This panel session brings together three of North America's leading organizations who have put RFID to work in food traceability and security. Their experience in implementing advanced technology to track mobile assets from the field through multiple stages in the supply chain and into the retail store, at times registering millions of data events, will highlight the advances made in one of the earliest applications of RFID in the field.

“Unclonable” RFIDs to fight counterfeiting

Presented by Anant Agrawal, CEO

Counterfeiting is a huge problem; the economic impact is estimated at over $600 billion per year. It spans almost all geographies, and all industries – from luxury products, food & drugs, auto and airline parts, currency, IDs and documents to the computer, electronic and networking industries. The threat to public health, safety and security is great. RFID has been gaining momentum as an anti-counterfeiting technology. The “RF” makes the use of this technology more practical and efficient. The “ID” enables unique identification of individual items. RFID is moving beyond identification, to authentication. Verayo’s breakthrough “silicon biometrics” technology makes RFID chips “unclonable,” and enables a strong, robust and cost-effective authentication solution. In this industry address Verayo’s CEO, Anant Agrawal, a semiconductor industry veteran, will unveil the world’s first “unclonable” RFID chip and an authentication solution to address the security and counterfeiting threats our society faces.
