At the conference, your class information will be part of the printed Official Event Guide. In addition, your name, biography, and course description will be available online.

Access to the Speaker Ready Room: Our Speaker Ready Room will be available for your use during the week of the conference. You will have space to prepare for your sessions, relax and network. There will be a projector, screen and printer available for your convenience.

Your Role as a Speaker
Our chief objective is to produce an event recognized for its high-caliber educational presentations. As such, we strongly caution speakers against commercial presentations. Marketing pitches severely mar the integrity of the conference and, it should be noted, diminish the credibility of the speaker for attendees who are expecting content-rich sessions. Similarly, the RFID World 2008 Conference prohibits the distribution within the classroom or educational program area any material (brochures, contest entries, product spec. sheets, etc.) related to the speaker’s company or its products. In promoting a speaker’s participation in the educational program, companies are strongly encouraged to keep these concerns in mind. We will not support or invite back any speaker who delivers a presentation with a focus on their company’s product or service, or who otherwise compromises the spirit of the speaker’s role.

Class notes (presentation slides) - Due July 28, 2008

As a speaker, you are responsible for class notes or presentation slides for your session(s). Those speakers instructing a full-day tutorial on Monday, September 8 will need to submit both a proceedings paper and class notes. In addition, attendees will have access to these papers and notes on-line. Please read the Proceeding Paper and Notes Guidelines below:

Class Notes (presentation slides) Guidelines:

Format (PDF and PPT): Please submit your class notes in both PDF and native file formats. Place the class title, the class number and your name prominently at the beginning of your document. When you submit a PDF, please prepare the file with two slides per page (handout view).

Colors: Many Attendees will be printing out a copy or your notes to carry into the classroom. We ask that you keep this in mind and use colors in your slides that will be printer friendly in grayscale or black and white.

Fonts: Please use standard fonts in your presentations. Some examples are Arial, Times New Roman and Courier. We want to avoid the possibility of some attendees not being able to view your notes because of the font used.

Company Logo: Please refrain from placing your company logo on your slides.
Content: Ideal material includes general session overviews, copies of slides and or files, notes, diagrams, and problem solving exercises. The content of your notes will depend on the format of your actual presentation.

File Naming: Please use the following format for labeling your class notes

“RFID-206Slides_Smith.pdf”
“RFID-206Slides_Smith.ppt"

Templates: Please find below 1 PPT template that incorporates the RFID World 2008 Logo. Or feel free to create your own slide template with the RFID World 2008 Logo .
